Psychic Impression Newsletter - December 2006
Out with the old, in with the new. New Years resolutions and a happy year ahead.
As we approach the end of the month of December we are treading closer to New Years and the famous goals of new years resolutions made by many. We make New Years resolutions to remind ourselves of where we want to be, sometimes we achieve those goals and other times we do not. I am a firm believer in always making sure that before we move on to the next chapter in our lives, the last one must be completely closed. Closure of course is something we all yearn for in many situations and closure of course is something that at times many of us await to receive from someone else, so that we may move on. It would be easier if life worked like a timely clock, everything in order so that when we ask for closure whether it be from a person or an experience we may receive it right away, but alas life is not a clock and in the end we are the ones who must bring closure to what our heart is hurting over.
Before you greet the new year it is important that you release any and all negativity you may be harboring within. A friend of a mine relates negativity to anger, however negativity comes in many different forms. Negativity is an emotion that in the long run does not benefit us. By appearing to us, it is waving a red flag and letting us know that there is something in our life that needs to be resolved. You do not have to be an angry person to be holding on to negativity. In fact, just in writing this newsletter, I was made aware of something negative I was holding on to and if you knew me you would know I'm far from being a mean ole lady :).
A few months ago I had order a book that has been out of print and to make a long story short I never received the book. When I spoke to the customer service they were completely understand and willing to compensate me for the trouble but I still walked away with no book. When I think back to this situation I do not have great anger at not receiving the book, but I still have a little nagging feeling. A little feeling that still says I should have gotten it. This is something I need to release. Even though this situation is not a great one in my life, certainly not something I will remember on my dying day, it still is of no benefit to me, it does not serve me and yet it is taking up space in my mind. Space that could be used for something positive that will benefit me. Just think how our lives would be if each negative thought that needed to be released was replaced with a genuine positive one.
I hope that you spend sometime clearing out your emotional closet and truly releasing all the old junk that you do not need anymore. May you begin the new year with a fresh and vibrant energy and remember to always be kind to yourself.
Releasing the negativity within the body:
You may not be feeling especially afraid, sad, or angry, but you can apply this simple exercise to any future incidents you may experience.
1. Recall the last time you felt very fearful, sad, or angry; the stronger the emotional charge, the better for the sake of this exercise.
2 . How did you body feel? As you remembering the incident, feel your body right now. Do you notice the tension in the abdomen or chest?
3. Take a breath, relax and let go of any tension in the belly, chest, shoulders, neck, or thighs as you continue to remember the incident.
4. Allow your breath to take on a slow deep pace. As you inhale truly feel the breath fill your body and as you exhale feel the emotions leaving your body along with the breath.
5. Notice the difference: notice how eve when the mind is filled with dissonance, the body lets go of the emotional contraction as you relax and release.
Setting your intent to release all negativity and live a free life, unencumbered from others.

Feng Shui tips to help you release negativity and create a stress free life
1. Clean your closet. The closet represents our subconscious mind therefore a cluttered closet is a cluttered mind.
2. Take a good look at your refrigerator. If there is an access of food then you may be over eating, which is a sign of emotional distress. Get rid of the access food.
3. If you have any objects in the house that reminds you of a negative experience give them away, donate them, simply let them go.
4. Clear your personal space of any clutter.
5. Use salt lamps to help soften and relax your environment more and create a mood in which you feel safe to express yourself.
6. Create a sanctuary for yourself in your home. If you feel that you do not have a lot of room in your home, perhaps dedicating a small space, such as a corner of a room to you would be a start. Place a comfortable chair in your space, surround the space with pictures and objects that bring you joy. When ever you are feeling down or negative allow your sanctuary to comfort your spirit and help you release.
7. Ensure a good night's sleep. When dealing with a stressful time in your life getting a good night sleep is of utmost importance. Cover any mirrors you may have in the room, close the bathroom door if it is near the bedroom, have soft lighting in the bedroom, this would be a good place to have the salt lamp, place something that brings you joy beside you so that you may see it every time you wake and make sure if there is something under your bed it is kept organized.
8. Keep all the windows in your home clean so that you may clearly see through them.
9. Place an indoor water fountain in your home. Place the fountain in what ever area of your life you may be experience trouble with. If you are having difficulty with romantic relationships place it in your bedroom, if you are having financial problems place it in your office, or your money area. Your money area is what ever area you dedicate to taking care of your bills and money in general.
10. Every day open your bedroom windows for about 15 - 20 minutes before you go to sleep to allow the old air to pass and for fresh to come in.
Forgiveness
As we embrace the new year it is important to also embrace ourselves through forgiving ourselves of any judgments we may have. We are never as hard on anyone else as we are on ourselves whether we realize it or not. Take the time to forgive yourself, you will be thankful you did so.
1. Find a comfortable sitting position, you may even lay down as long as you are completely comfortable.
2. Focus on your breathing, allow yourself to inhale slowly and feel your whole body as you exhale.
3. In your minds eye focus on your heart and see a small, faint green light coming from it.
4. As you continue your breathing with each inhale see that green light expanding. Becoming brighter, more vibrant and feeling it expanding in your body.
5. See the light gently touching the rest of your body. Your arms, legs, head and shoulders are all covered in the soft green glow.
6. Say the following phrase " I love you (your name) and I forgive you ( your name) Repeat this process as long as you want to.
7. As you finish up see the green light being pulled back to your heart area, away from the rest of your body. As you see the green light over your heart it will not be "weak" as it was when you started this process, it will be a vibrant and noticeably green.
Have a wonderful holiday season and may you spend the next year enjoying your life! ~ Ines |
